About
A career toolkit that doesn't need your data to be useful.
CareerPilot AI exists because the basics of job searching — a clean resume, an honest ATS check, a decent cover letter draft — shouldn't require an account, a subscription, or sending your resume to a server.
What makes CareerPilot AI different
Runs in your browser
Every tool — the resume builder, the ATS engine, every generator — runs entirely client-side. Nothing you type is sent anywhere to work.
No account required
No sign-up, no email capture, no login wall. Open a tool and use it.
Free, ad-supported
The site is free to use. It's supported by ads, not by selling access to your data — because we don't have your data to sell.
Why rule-based, not AI-generated
Every generator on this site — bullet points, summaries, cover letters, LinkedIn content — is built from template libraries, action-verb dictionaries, and scoring rules, not a language model. That's a deliberate choice: it means the tools can run entirely in your browser with no server round-trip, no API cost, and no need to send your career details anywhere. The tradeoff is that the output is more template-shaped and less free-form than an AI writer — we think that's a fair trade for keeping everything private and free.
How the ATS Checker works
The ATS Checker scores a pasted resume across seven categories — contact info, section structure, keyword match, formatting, readability, experience detail, and education — using pattern-matching rules and a keyword library, not a live connection to any actual applicant tracking system. It's a useful proxy for how parseable and complete a resume is, not a guarantee of how any specific company's ATS software will read it.
What's still being built
This is an actively growing project. Some sections — like the template gallery and resume examples library — are honestly labeled with how many are live versus the eventual target, rather than claiming a bigger number than what's actually there. Check the tools page for current status on everything.
